Solar Eclipse 2024

On Monday, April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible from many parts of the US! While no location in Massachusetts will experience totality, Randolph will see approximately 92% coverage of the sun if weather permits. We can’t wait to watch the 2024 solar eclipse with all our local library lovers so we’re giving out solar eclipse glasses to new and existing OCLN library card holders! Check out our featured events below or view our complete event calendar!

Solar Eclipse - Library Card Drive!

  • Distribution starts 3/25: Solar eclipse glasses will be given out at the Turner Free Library’s Adult Help Desk beginning on Monday, March 25th. Eclipse glasses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last

  • OCLN card holders only: An OCLN library card in good standing (i.e. less than $15 in fines/charges) is required! If you don’t have a Library card, please bring your photo ID and proof of current address to the library

  • Help us share the fun: Due to the high degree of interest and limited amount of eclipse glasses available, we ask that each person takes only the minimal number they need (suggested 4 per household) and share glasses with family and friends. It’ll be more fun to watch the eclipse together!
