Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Turner Free Library is a volunteer nonprofit group that supports the public library of Randolph, MA through fundraising, programming, book discussion groups, and community advocacy. We are actively looking for new members to help with many exciting initiatives to benefit the people of Randolph, and we encourage you to contact us at View our 2022 membership drive information here!

If you would like to make a donation in honor of a person or organization, please put their name in the donation box in the payment form. If you would like them or their family to be notified, please email their name and mailing address to

The Friends of the Turner Free Library are delighted to accept donations of books and DVDs in gift-worthy condition.


The Friends are unable to accept donations of items that are:

  • Dirty

  • Moldy or have a cigarette smell

  • Burnt or water damaged

  • Damaged or missing covers or pages

  • Excessive writing, markings, or highlighting

  • Computer, language, or travel books more than 3 years old

  • Textbooks more than 5 years old

  • VHS or Cassette Tapes

  • Magazines or workbooks

  • Encyclopedias


Donations can be dropped off in bins next to the Children's Help Desk at the library or in the book donation bin at the Zapustas Ice Arena (240 North Street). The Friends greatly appreciate your donations but are unable to to make pick ups.

Be sure to visit the Friends' ongoing booksale, located on the library's second floor, regularly for great deals on books for all ages!
