

Friends of the Turner Free Library
The Friends of the Turner Free Library is a volunteer nonprofit group that supports the public library of Randolph, MA through fundraising, programming, book discussion groups, and community advocacy. We are actively looking for new members to help with many exciting initiatives to benefit the people of Randolph, and we encourage you to contact us at friendsoftfl@gmail.com. Membership & Impact
The library is a place for innovation, connection, and discovery for people people of every age. And thanks to your generosity as a Friend of the Turner Free Library, these experiences continue to grow each year.
Through your support, the Friends help fund programs, resources, and opportunities that bring our library to life. In fact, Friends funding nearly doubles the annual programming budget provided by the Town of Randolph, allowing the library to offer far more events, activities, and services than would otherwise be possible.

Volunteer opportunities include:
Special Events Helpers (like at our popular book sales): Just a 2‑hour shift makes a big difference!
Mending Donated Books: 1–2 hours per week, help give books a second life
Curator of Donated Children’s Books: 1–2 hours per week: Organize and select books young readers will love
Book Sale Coordinator (semi‑annual): About 4 hours per month, focused around each sale
Social Media & PR Support: 1–2 hours per month, help us spread the word
Fundraising Ideas & Planning: 2-3 hours per month. Share your creativity; whether you can help once, occasionally, or regularly, your time truly matters.
Donations
Thank you for your support! The Friends of the Turner Free Library is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and donations are tax deductible.
Monetary donations can be made online via Paypal or by check or cash at the Turner Free Library. If you would like to make a donation in honor of a person or organization, please put their name in the donation box in the payment form. If you would like them or their family to be notified, please email their name and mailing address to friendsoftfl@gmail.com.
The Friends of the Turner Free Library are also delighted to accept donations of books and DVDs in gift-worthy condition.
The Friends are unable to accept donations of items that are:

Dirty

Moldy or have a cigarette smell

Burnt or water damaged

Damaged or missing covers or pages

Excessive writing, markings, or highlighting

Computer, language, or travel books more than 3 years old

Textbooks more than 5 years old

VHS or Cassette Tapes

Magazines or workbooks

Encyclopedias
Donations can be dropped off in bins next to the Children's Help Desk at the library or in the book donation bin at the Zapustas Ice Arena (240 North Street). The Friends greatly appreciate your donations but are unable to to make pick ups.

Book Sales
The Friends of the Turner Free Library offer an ongoing book sale all year long! Be sure to visit their shelves, located on the library's second floor, regularly for great deals on books for all ages!
Biannual Book Sale
Twice a year, in May and November, the Friends of the Library host a large book sale with some amazing deals! Subscribe to the Library's enewsletter and follow the library on social media for scheduling information.
