Spring is officially here! As we look ahead to warmer weather and more sunshine, it's time to start planting. To provide free and convenient opportunities for the Randolph community to learn about gardening and growing their own food, the Turner Free Library is excited to announce the opening of it's "Let's Eat, Randolph!" Seed Library! The Seed Library was made possible in part through federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Seed libraries are a place for community members who are interested in growing plants to pick up some free seeds. For the 2023 growing season, the "Let's Eat, Randolph!" Seed Library offers more than thirty varieties of seeds to choose from (while supplies last)! The Seed Library is located next to the Adult Help Desk on the Library's main floor, and we invite all ages and gardening skill levels to take seeds. Although there is no cost for the seeds, we ask that each household limit themselves to four seed packets per growing season and we appreciate everyone's understanding that this is a shared community service.
Happy planting!

Proper watering is key to a healthy Alocasia Longiloba care. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, ensuring the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in colder months when the plant’s growth slows down. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can stress the plant. Using room-temperature water helps prevent shock to its sensitive roots.
