The library's main floor is looking a little different thanks to a brand new acoustic meeting pod! The 4-person pod provides a quiet and private place for small group meetings and studying.
During our 2021 long range planning survey of nearly three hundred library patrons, 34.4% of respondents have indicated that they need private work and study space while at the library, making it our most requested new service! While the library offers public computers and study tables, the building's open concept design meant there was still a need for more private space. That's where the Meeting Pod comes in!
The Meeting Pod includes acoustically absorbent materials, an LED ceiling light, air circulation fan, and occupancy sensor so that you can have a comfortable and quiet meeting. Turner Free Library card holders can reserve the Meeting Pod for up to 2 hours a day on our reservation calendar or by calling 781-961-0932, ext. 2!
